Terms of Service

1. Acceptance & eligibility
By creating an account or using Rankid, you agree to these Terms of Service. You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use Rankid on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms, and “you” refers to that organisation.
2. The service
Rankid scores and ranks resumes against job descriptions using a deterministic, explainable engine. Scores are decision-support signals only — they are not hiring decisions and are not legal, HR, or employment advice. You remain solely responsible for all employment decisions and for complying with applicable employment, anti-discrimination, and data-protection laws. The service is provided on an “as available” basis and may be subject to maintenance, updates, and downtime.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. You may sign in with email and password or with Google. Keep your account information accurate and current.
4. Credits, bundles & payments
Rankid runs on credits: each analysis consumes credits from your balance. Every account receives a free monthly credit allowance that refreshes each month and does not roll over. You may also buy one-time credit bundles through Creem, our payment processor and merchant of record — these are one-time purchases, not subscriptions, with no recurring or automatic charges, and the purchased credits do not expire. Failed analyses are automatically refunded as credits. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: upload resumes or other content you have no right to process; use Rankid to unlawfully discriminate against candidates or in violation of any employment or anti-discrimination law; reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service; resell or misrepresent the service; or circumvent usage or credit limits. You are responsible for obtaining any consent required to submit and process the resumes and personal data you upload.
6. Your content & data
You retain all rights to the resumes, job descriptions, and other content you submit. You grant Rankid a limited licence to host and process that content solely to operate and provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data and do not use uploaded resumes to train third-party models.
7. Intellectual property
Rankid and all associated software, models, designs, and content (excluding your submitted content) are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with these terms.
8. Third-party services
Rankid relies on third-party providers — including Creem (payments), Google (optional sign-in), email delivery, and cloud/server hosting. Your use of any third-party integration is at your own risk and may be subject to that provider’s own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee that scores predict job performance, candidate suitability, or hiring outcomes, nor that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rankid is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the three months preceding the claim or USD 50.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Rankid harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the service, the content you submit, or your violation of these terms or of any law, including employment and data-protection laws.
12. Suspension & termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create legal or security risk, or fail to pay. On termination, your personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Rankid operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where applicable law grants you rights to a different forum.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the product or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
